on to WILD pheasants! We are not a preserve! Our guided hunts will leave you in
awe as hundreds of wild pheasants flush right in front of you. This is South

Our 70,000 Acres of prime pheasant
habitat have been managed for birds for the last 43 years and have paid big dividends for hunters who
want to hunt wild birds in their natural habitat. At Pat Taggart's Lodge, we have always
followed a pheasant-management program and understand what you want in a pheasant hunt.
At P&R we leave thousands of acres for pheasant habitat. At P&R Lodge
three generations of family farming has paid off with a pheasant management
program and an understanding that hunters want to hunt "natural birds in
their natural" habitat.
Last year was the best year in the 43
year history at Pat Taggarts. We had a great season. And if anybody can claim WILD
BIRD hunting is better than at Pat Taggart hunting, simply don't believe it.
It's just not true. All our hunters limited out. We've had another mild winter
again this year and with a good hatch, hunting in 2008 could be to good to be
true, perhaps the best in my lifetime.
The
2007 bird count was 10 million and 2008 should be better.
We've had thousands of birds wintering
around the farm and with a good hatch, hunting will be excellent.
We guarantee you one of the best wild pheasant hunts you have ever had, or there
will be no charge. The location of the combined hunting lodges is in the south central
part of South Dakota in the heart of pheasant country. Hunting here has long been
excellent and the Taggarts use the "Eat, Sleep and Hunt" in one location as
their motto.
